Meet Erin, class of 2017. I think her parents should teach parenting classes on how to raise smart, independent, grounded girls because she is all that and more. And her older sister was just like that, too!
I love that Erin had opinions about her shoot and knew exactly what she liked and what she didn’t like. And she came up with some great ideas on her own. The very last picture below…she wanted to hop up on this high wall to get this shot. It made me and her mom slightly nervous, but I do love the shot!
I love that Erin has this long, beautiful hair and then her edgy side comes out when she flips her hair over to reveal the shaved part underneath. (She says her dad doesn’t love it so have to be able to hide it!)
She’s off to college soon and interested in possibly pursuing graphic design. (Have I mentioned that I totally wish I could go back to college for that!)
Best wishes, Erin. It was a joy to photograph you!!
Grand Rapids Michigan Senior Photographer Wardrobe Tip: I get lots of questions about what to wear for senior pictures. One thing that made Erin’s shoot so great is that she wore things she loved and that reflected her personality. Like her black leather jacket and then the gray striped sweater. Wear your favorite sweater and tennis shoes if you want–don’t feel like it has to be all high-heels and dresses if that’s just not your style. You’ll feel much more comfortable if you stick to YOUR style, but maybe just polished up a bit, and your pictures will reflect that confidence.
Here’s that wall I was telling you about. You can’t really tell from the picture, but it’s pretty high up there!
